Air pollution is now a big threat not only to India but also the countries around the world. India and China are at the forefront in this matter. From last several year, poisonous air has killed 5 million people worldwide. Of these, 25 lakh deaths have occurred in India and China only.

That is, 50 percent of the world’s poisonous air deaths have occurred in these two countries. This is said in a report based on global air pollution. These reports have been prepared by  US-based institutes.

It said that 12 lakh people died in each of the two countries due to air pollution in 2017. This pollution includes air pollution present in the houses. The title of this study report is ‘State of Global Air 2019’. According to this, due to air pollution, in today’s time, the child born in South Asia is being reduced to two and a half years of life.

According to the report, the death rate is increasing due to air pollution. Before this, the figure was 11 lakh in 2015, which is now one lakh more. Things are worse in cities such as Delhi, Faridabad and Gururgram.

Air pollution is the third major cause of death in the health hazards present in India. The more deaths occur due to malnutrition, alcohol, and physical inactivity than air pollution. Pollution is also responsible for infectious diseases as well as for other diseases.

It has been said in the report that both China and India have taken several steps to reduce air pollution. In this report, the Ujjwala scheme started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also been mentioned. Not only does the exterior but also indoor pollution also end up very much.
