        The Punjab School Education Department has taken important steps for the health care of the girls studying in the schools and released a grant of Rs. 8.6 crore for 2521 high and senior secondary government schools across the state after the approval of the Education Minister Mr. Vijay Indira Singla.

        Disclosing this here today Secretary School Education Mr. Krishan Kumar said that with this grant sanitary pad vending and incinerator machines will be installed for the health care of girls. Under this scheme each school would get a grant of Rs. 32,000. The Education Secretary said that special measures are being taken by the Education Department for the health care of the girls studying in the schools of the state and the installing of sanitary Pad Vending and incinerator in the schools is an important step.

        According to a spokesperson of education department grant of Rs. 50.88 lakh has been released for 159 schools of Amritsar, Rs. 20.48 lakh for 64 schools of Barnala, Rs. 52.48 lakh for 164 schools of Bathinda, Rs. 18.24 lakh for 57 schools of Faridkot, Rs. 16.64 lakh for 52 schools of Fatehgarh Sahib, Rs. 41.60 lakh for 130 schools of Fazilka, Rs. 28.80 lakh for 90 schools in Ferozepur,  Rs. 46.40 lakh for 145 schools of Gurdaspur, Rs. 48.32 lakh for 151 schools of Hoshiarpur, Rs. 56.96 lakh for 178 schools of Jalandhar, Rs. 20.48 lakh for 64 schools of Kapurthala, Rs. 72.64 lakh for 227 schools of Ludhiana, Rs. 32.32 lakh for 101 schools of Mansa, Rs. 37.76 lakh for 118 schools of Moga, Rs. 26.56 lakh for 83 schools of SAS Nagar, Rs. 32.64 lakh for 102 schools of Sri Mukatsar Sahib, Rs. 18.24 lakh for 57 schools of SBS Nagar, Rs. 21.12 lakh for 66 schools of Pathankot, Rs. 56.32 lakh for 176 schools of Patiala, Rs. 20.80 lakh for 65 schools of Rupnagar, Rs. 54.08 lakh for 169 schools of Sangrur and Rs. 32.96 lakh for 103 schools of  Tarn Taran has been released.
