Vinod Rai said that the BCCI will write a letter to the ICC concerned about not having a cricket relationship in future with the country that promotes terrorism.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has written a letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC) after its meeting with COA on Friday, in which it has talked about the issue of not playing cricket with Pakistan in the World Cup. Along with this, the BCCI has conveyed to the ICC about the upcoming events and their concerns and commitments, including security of Indian players, officials and fans. In his letter, BCCI has urged the cricket community to break up with the countries where terror is protected.

Earlier, the Comptroller and Auditor General (COA), seeing the work of Indian cricket, said that he would personally request the members of the ICC to break relations with such a country which is the patronage of terror. After the Pulwama terror attack, there is talk of boycott of World Cup match against Pakistan in Old Trafford on June 16. 40 CRPF personnel were martyred in the Pulwama terror attack.

COA chief Vinod Rai told reporters after the meeting, “There is a talk going on with our government. No decision has been taken about the match scheduled on June 16. “He said,” We will tell the two concerns to the ICC. We will talk about the safety of the players during the World Cup and tell countries playing cricket that break the relationship with a country that is a stronghold of an intimidation.

Rai said, “We will tell the cricket community that in future we will have to make a serious decision on playing with those countries where terrorism is protected.” There were also reports that the COA and BCCI could possibly appeal to the ICC to take Pakistan out of the World Cup starting in England from May 30. However, such a move will not make any difference either because there is no such provision in the rules of the world organization, which allow a member to demand the removal of another member.

Former captains said – Cricket is not with PAK

40 CRPF personnel were martyred in the terror strike on February 14 in Pulwama, Pakistani terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. After this attack, all former cricketers of India have expressed their desire to not play cricket with Pakistan. It includes Harbhajan Singh, former captain Sourav Ganguly, Chetan Chauhan, Gautam Gambhir and former captain Mohammed Azharuddin.

 Ganguly spoke-finish relationship

Before Ganguly, Harbhajan Singh had said in a conversation with Azhtak that India should not play matches against Pakistan in the World Cup. He said that after the Pulwama attack the atmosphere is different, we are the first Indian and thereafter the cricketer. On one side, your soldiers are attacked and on the other hand you play cricket with the same country, it can not be.

Former cricketer and minister in the UPA government Chetan Chauhan said that India has pressured the ICC to put Pakistan cricket team out of the World Cup. He said that we are not playing bilateral series with Pakistan before, so we should not even play World Cup matches. Chouhan said that increasing terrorism in Pakistan has become a problem for the world.

Gavaskar’s opinion is different

Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar said that if India does not play matches with Pakistan in the World Cup then the loss will be his. Gavaskar said, “If we do not play matches in Pakistan from World Cup then we will be called losers and will give them 2 points. So the best way would be to beat them in the World Cup by playing with them now.

Gavaskar said, “BCCI can try to get Pakistan out of the World Cup. But, it will not happen. Because, for this, other member countries also need acceptance. ‘ Gavaskar said, “I do not think other members of the country will accept Pakistan’s exit from the World Cup. But, India can try to stop Pakistan from playing the World Cup. ”

Gavaskar said, “I know that even after playing a match with Pakistan, India is so strong that it can qualify for the next round. However, Pakistan will not be able to play any series bilaterally. If we do not play matches with them in the World Cup, then they will have the advantage of 2 points. “
