A Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu & Kashmir and adjoining Pakistan as an upper air system. Along with this, a low pressure area lies over North Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Southwest Uttar Pradesh. The axis of monsoon trough too passes through these two weather systems.

Thus, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand would witness fairly widespread rain, with heavy falls along the foothills of Himachal and Uttarakhand.

Rains are also likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and West Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, Delhi rains will continue adding to the woes of residents.

Furthermore, fairly widespread rain is expected over North Madhya Pradesh, whereas Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha would only see light rainfall. There is possibility of light to moderate rain over East Rajasthan. The west coast would observe mainly light with few moderate showers; on the other hand rains will remain light over the remaining regions of Southern Peninsula along with Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra.

Lastly in East and Northeast India; the cyclonic circulation over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining area would give scattered rains over Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. In fact, foothills of Bihar would see rather good activities.
