Sania Mirza has left for home after giving birth to a baby boy named Izhaan.
Mirza can be seen in photos holding the baby in her arms while she is coming down the corridor of Hyderabad’s Rainbow Children’s home.
Husband Shoaib Malik and Mirza took to social media to make the announcement on Thursday.
Shoaib Malik wrote in a tweet, “Excited to announce: It’s a boy, and my girl is doing great and keeping strong as usual #Alhumdulilah. Thank you for the wishes and Duas, we are humbled. #BabyMirzaMalik”

While undergoing a surgery in 2017, Sania took a break from tennis.
Extending the break, Sania with her husband and former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik announced that they were expecting a baby.
Sania, in a recent interview, said that she will keep their child’s name as “Mirza Malik”.
“Today I will tell you a secret. My husband and I have spoken about it and we have decided that whenever we have a child, the child will have Mirza-Malik as a surname and not just Malik. So that’s where we stand as a family including my husband. He actually wants a daughter,” Sania said.
