The domestic stock markets opened in green in the early trade on Wednesday. As compared to its last close of 36,241, the S&P BSE Sensex started at 36,290.48.

While the National Stock Exchange (NSE) index Nifty 50 opened at 10,930.70 against its previous close of10,883.

Just minutes into the trade, the indexes extended their weakness in the market. The BSE30 traded 128.84 points or 0.36% lower at 36,112.16.

And the NSE Nifty50 traded at 10,847.90, down 35.85 points or 0.33%.

Losing between 1% and 2.15%, the losers in the Nifty pack were Mahindra and Mahindra, HDFC Bank, NTPC, HDFC and Bharti Airtel.

In the global markets, as the Seoul’s Kospi plunged 0.6% and the Australian market fell over 0.5%, the MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan surged down 0.2%.

Meanwhile, the BSE benchmark index Sensex closed at 36,241, with the gain of 46 points, while the 50-scrip Nifty settled 7 points higher at 10,883.
