Abu Simbel- The Temple That Moved

Abu Simbel is one of the most iconic attractions, a person can see at Egypt. The temple was constructed by a 12 century King Pharaoh Ramesses II or Ramesses the great.

It took slaves 24 years to complete the construction of the temple, and its wall was worth it. The temple was presented to the Egyptian gods, Ptah, Amun and RA-Horakhty by Ramesses the great.

The temple was lost after it was disappeared in the sand around the sixth century and was rediscovered in 1813.

The most interesting part about the temple is that it was cut into pieces and was moved between 1964 and 1968 due to the construction of the Aswan High Dam.

The Poster Boy- Giza Pyramid Complex

What is Egypt if not the Giza Pyramid Complex? It has been the symbol of this incredible country from ages.

There are many theories related the method used to construct the pyramids, but none can tell the exact story.

St. Catherine’s Monastery

Monastery of St. Catherine sits at the feet of Mount Sinai. The place is the hub of ancient religious artefacts.

It is said to be the place where Mosses received Ten Commandments.  Now there is a museum where religious iconography and manuscripts can be witnessed.

Temple of Seti, Abydos

The least known pharaohs of New Kingdom has to be Seti I.  Seti I was the father of the world famous Ramesses II.
