A shocking revelation has been made by Bidhoona tehsil in Auraiya district, Uttar Pradesh after it found the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack convict Ajmal Kasab, who was hanged in 2012, has been issued a domicile certificate.

As per media reports, the domicile certificate was cancelled by the district authorities after preliminary investigation.

While ordering a probe into the severe lapse, the authorities have suspended Lekhpal.

SDM (Sub-Divisional Magistrate) Bidhoona Pravendra Kumar confirmed to Times of India (TOI) that a residence certificate has been issued against the fake documents submitted by some unknown person.

In the 26/11 attack, about 166 people were killed by 10 Pakistan-based LeT terrorists.

Out of ten, nine attackers were killed by the police while Ajmal Kasab, a lone survivor was caught and hanged at Yerwada Jail in Pune on 21st November 2012 after handed down death sentence.
