The Patiala police in a joint operation with Rajasthan Police arrested german singh , the mastermind behind the conspiracy to target former chief minister Parakash Sigh Badal
Sources said intelligence inputs with the Patiala police helped nab German, a resident of uttar Pradesh.
The police had arrested three other accused , karma singh and Gurjant singh, both residents of UP, and Amrit Singh, a resident of Haryana, on Sunday while German was absconding .
UP Police on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday had arrested the three following an encounter for snatching weapons from UP Police. Later, the conspiracy came to light.
Punjab Police are working on the leads to trace the men in Punjab with whom German might have been in touch.
