Bhubaneswar: The Netherlands defeated India by 2-1 in the last match of the quarterfinals of 2018 Men’s Hockey World Cup at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
It is notable that this was the first defeat of team India in the 2018 Men’s Hockey World Cup.
Australia and England have already reached the semi-finals while Belgium and the Netherlands have also reached the third and fourth team.
In the Quarter-final match, the Netherlands and the Indian teams played aggressively and scored 1-1 in the first quarter and then by halftime, none of the teams scored any goal.
After this, the Netherlands scored the second goal in the 50 minutes against Team India.
With the win of Netherlands, India has been eliminated from the 2018 Hockey World Cup tournament.

The semi-finals between Belgium and England, and Australia and Netherlands are scheduled for December 15.
