Nawab Jassa Singh Ahluwalia Charitable Trust (Regd.) Celebrated the 237th death anniversary of Nawab Jassa Singh Ahluwalia, the fifth Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib, the fourth head of Shiromani Panth Akali Budha Dal, Sultan-ul-Qaum, at Gur Asra Trust Mohali. On this occasion path  of Sri Sukhmani Sahib Ji was recited and devotees paid homage to Nawab Jassa Singh Ahluwalia. On this occasion Trustee Member Amarjit Singh Walia gave detailed information about the life of Nawab Jassa Singh Ahluwalia.
Chairman of the Trust Charanjit Singh Walia said that Nawab Jassa Singh Ahluwalia was awarded great titles like Guru ka Lal, Sultan-ul-Kaum (Kaum Da Badshah), Bandi Chhod, Nawab, Jathedar Buddha Dal Khalsa etc. He asked why the government and SGPC forgetting him? He said that the birth anniversary of Nawab Jassa Singh Ahluwalia should be officially celebrated and a memorial should be set up in his memory.
He said that that Nawab Jassa Singh Ahluwalia rebuilt the Golden Temple which was demolished by Ahmed Shah Abdali and built a fort on the name of ”Kila Ahluwalia” near it but today the entire area is illegally occupied by the people of the area. He said that the government should release this possession and set up a memorial here. He also demanded that a statue of Nawab Jassa Singh Ahluwalia should be erected outside the Golden Temple and a gate named after him should be constructed at Ghee Mandi Amritsar.
On this occasion, Nawab Jassa Singh Ahluwalia Charitable Trust provided financial assistance to the girls of Gur Asra Trust and thanked the management of Gur Asra Trust and appreciated their good arrangements. Charanjit Walia offered the girls of the trust that they can get free nursing training at their college.

Rosha, General Secretary Pal Mohinder Singh Walia, Secretary Finance Padmajit Singh Walia, Trustee Inderpal Singh Walia, Satnam Singh Walia, etc. Amarjit Singh Walia, Avtar Singh Walia, Bhupinder Singh Walia, and Dr. Paramjit Singh Walia was also present on the occasion.
