Canada – It is very much in practice that  people buy land or gold as an asset which gives good returns and benefits after sometime. But how does it sounds if a weapon pays back really good sum of money.

The federal government of Canada is beginning a mandatory payback programme and planning how much price can be set to pay back to the owners for banned firearms or weapons.

Under a unique programme launched under Public Safety Canada, a list of assult weapons/guns is enlisted with proposed price is released that the owners can expect how much compensation under the programme.

The ‘pay back’ programme applies on 1500 such models of guns those fall in the category of assult guns/rifles. The government has banned the sale and use of these weapons on May 1, 2020.

“It will be mandatory for the individuals to participate in buyback programme to render their prohibited weapons to government willingly getting payback. Otherwise government will have to adopt lawful way of disposing off these weapons”,  Public Road Safety Canada said in a statement.
