New Delhi – Chaos reigned at IGI airport’s Terminal-3 on Friday after Lufthansa airline cancelled two of its flights due to a pilots’ strike stranding hundreds of passengers.

Around 700 passengers were stranded at Terminal-3, police said. DCP IGI Airport told that due to sudden worldwide strike of Lufthansa pilots, 2 flights to Munich and Frankfurt with around 400 passengers were cancelled without intimation.

The Lufthansa Airport headquaters cancelled both the fights due to World-Wide strike of  pilots  for salary appraisals. LH 761 from Delhi to Frankfurt having 300 passengers and LH 763 Delhi to Munich having 400 passengers were cancelled .

Students stage dharna on the airport and demanded for justice and moneyback. There was panic situation among them. Security alert was taken care of by CISF and Airport police and crowd was dispersed shortly.

Lufthansa Airlines cancelled 800 flights on Friday which has affected around 130,000 passengers after the pilots’ Union announced a one-day strike.
