Iranian filmmaker Babak Khorramdin was murdered by his parents in a case of honour killing after an argument ensued over his unmarried status.

Mohammad Shahriari, head of the Tehran Criminal Court, said the 47-year-old’s father confessed to drugging and murdering his son, before cutting up his body and disposing the remains. Both parents have been arrested.
