-Three rounds of sprays to be completed within a week in all the villages the state

-Panchayat Minister appeals people to stay in their homes

Under the campaign to eradicate all the corona virus infections in the state, sanitisation medicine has been sprayed in 11769 villages by the Rural Development and Panchayat Departments till date.  Under this campaign, as per guidelines of the Health Department the sodium hypochlorite medicine is being sprayed in all the villages across the state to prevent further spread of the corona virus infection.

The Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Mr. Tirpt Rajinder Singh Bajwa in a press statement issued here today said  that under this campaign 295040 litter medicine has been used for the spraying in the villages,  this medicine is being supplied by Punjab Alkalies and Chemicals Limited. He said that the spraying work was being done by the department officials in the villages without any cost.

The Panchayat Minister further said that under this campaign, as per now a program has been chalked out to complete three rounds of spray in every village which would be completed within a week.

Mr. Bajwa lauded efforts of the officers of the department and the people of the state for carrying out this campaign on a war-footing. He appealed to the people to remain in their village, they should not go out without any emergency and also do not let others enter their village. He said that in the next fifteen days, those who confine themselves to their homes can save themselves from this disease.

The Panchayat Minister has also appealed to all the Panchayats in the state to provide free ration sent by the Punjab Government under their supervision to the poor and needy families and ensure that no needy family is deprived of this facility.

 

Mr. Bajwa also said that panchayat funds should be used wisely for this purpose. He said that every village panchayat should ensure that no one in their village remains hungry, every human should be supplied medicine and also ensure that no animal should die without fodder.
