Chandigarh, April 24: The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 710323 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on tenth day of procurement.

Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total 710323 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 708985 MT of wheat 1385 MT has been procured by the private traders(arhtias).

He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 156305 metric tonnes, MARKFED 162346 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 161164 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 98598 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 78902 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain Procured 51669 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
