CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today directed the state government to conduct the last rites of great athlete Milkha Singh with state honors. The Chief Minister also declared a day of official mourning on Saturday.

It is to be mentioned that ‘Flying Sikh’ Milkha Singh joined PGI last night Covid died of post-traumatic stress disorder. The great grandson Milkha Singh who made a name for himself at the international level and made great strides for the country in the Asian and Commonwealth Games which made every citizen of the country, especially the Punjabis, proud.
