It may be recalled that 100-year-old Harbans Singh still sells onions and potatoes on the Rehri (cart) to raise the children of his deceased son. After the death of one of his sons a few years ago and the alleged abandonment of children by his daughter-in-law, Harbans Singh has been diligently fulfilling his responsibility of caring for his grandson and granddaughter. One of his sons sells fruit but lives apart from his family.
