In order to bring more efficacy in working of Information and Public Relations, department the Secretary of the department Mr. Gurkirat Kirpal Singh and Commissioner Mr. Kamal Kishore Yadav today handed the keys of seven new vehicles to the officers.

Handing over the vehicles to PR officers here at a simple but impressive ceremony, the Secretary said that the move is aimed at further streamlining the functioning of the department. He said that the department had been working tirelessly to boost the image of the government across the nook and corner of the state. Mr. Gurkirat Kirpal Singh said that some of the existing vehicles of the department had completed their term due to which it was the urgent need to replace them.

The Secretary further said that keeping in view the administrative requirement of replacing the old worn out vehicles with the new ones, this decision has been taken. He expressed hope that new vehicles will further help in enhancing the efficiency of the department by ensuring comfortable journey to the officers in the field as well as at the headquarters. Mr. Gurkirat Kirpal Singh said that the government has already made strenuous efforts to equip the department with hi-tech equipments and infra structure to cope up with the emerging challenges.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner called upon the officers of the department to make all out efforts for disseminating the message of pro-people and development oriented policies of the state government amongst the masses. Mr. Yadav said that the officers should further make optimum utilization of media and social media platforms for this purpose. He also congratulated the officers for getting the new vehicles adding that it will help in enhancing their productivity and performance.
On the occasion Special Secretary Information and Public Relations Dr. Senu Duggal and Additional Director Dr. Opinder Singh Lamba were also present.
