GURDASPUR: The Transport Department, Gurdaspur today in a major operation in the district seized 25 buses belonging to private companies of big houses operating without tax and without time.

Disclosing this here today Mr. Baldev Singh Randhawa, Regional Transport Authority, Gurdaspur said that the Transport Minister Mr. Under the direction of Amarinder Singh Raja Waring, action has been taken against the buses of private companies which were running without tax, defaulter and without time. The buses have been confiscated.

Mr. Randhawa said that any person violating the terms and conditions of the department would not be spared. Reiterating his commitment to ensure transparent and efficient functioning of the transport department, he said that no one would be spared for non-payment of taxes or any irregularity in the rules and strict action would be taken against all defaulters. He further said that this process has been going on for the last two days and would continue in the coming days.
