New Delhi: Farmers, who have been protesting for the last 11 months against three agricultural laws, will celebrate Diwali at Delhi’s borders this time. The Samyukta Kisan Morcha has appealed to the farmers to come out of the village this Diwali and join the Morchas and increase their participation.

Farmers in Ghazipur, Singhu, Tikri and Shahjahanpur borders of Delhi have been on strike since November 26, 2020. Farmers from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand are present at the Ghazipur border. Farmers of Punjab and Haryana are sitting on Singhu and Tikri border.
On the Shahjahanpur border is the Dera of Rajasthan farmers. The farmers have celebrated other festivals including Lohri, Holi, Rakhri at the borders of Delhi. Rakesh Tikait, National Spokesperson, Bhartiya Kisan Union, has not visited his home for the last 11 months.

During this time he did go to Muzaffarpur several times but did not go home. It may be mentioned here that the farmers have announced that they will not go home without the repeal of the three agriculture laws.
