New Delhi: 13 girls and women died after falling into a well during a marriage ceremony in Nebua Naurangiya area of Kushinagar district. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have expressed grief over the accident.

District Magistrate S. Rajalingam told that the ritual of turmeric for marriage was being held in a house around 10:00 pm in Naurangiya Tola of Nebua Naurangiya today. Some women and girls were performing rituals by sitting on the net above the well. During rituals, net was nert broke and all the people sitting on it fell into the well.
