No place for corrupt people in our government, will deal strongly if anyone found indulged in any such practices: Dhaliwal
Chandigarh: The Punjab Cabinet Minister Mr. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal today took charge of office of Rural Development & Panchayats, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries & Dairy Development and NRI Affairs departments here today in the presence of his Cabinet Colleague Harbhajan Singh ETO, MLA Aman Arora, MLA Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar, MLA Gurmeet Singh Khuddian, MLA Jameel UL Rehman, MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta, MLA Karambir Singh Ghuman, MLA Dr. Balbir Singh, MLA Kulwant Singh, MLA Laddi Dhos, MLA Manjit Singh Bilaspur, MLA Sarwan Singh Dhun and other prominent personalities.
Thanking the almighty, Mr. Dhaliwal reiterated the AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal’s commitment against corruption and said that there is no place for corrupt people in our government. He said that all loopholes for corrupt practices would be plugged on priority to provide benefits of government funds and schemes at ground level to the genuine beneficiaries. Mr. Dhaliwal said that he will ensure that every single decision by all the departments under him is taken for the welfare of the people.
The Minister said that he is aware of all the problems of the NRIs and would work to provide best facilities to the NRIs. He also said that NRIs would be provided time-bound services during their visit to Punjab. Mr. Dhaliwal, while speaking about the development of villages, said that he would adopt zero tolerance on corruption and all development works would be carried out with joint teams of architects, experts and honest officers. He also said that main focus would be on providing clean drinking water and proper sewerage system in the villages.
He also said that prime focus would also be laid on improving the condition of village dispensaries, government schools, parks and street lights. Senior officers ACS Ravneet Kaur, ACS Kirpa Shanker Saroj, Principal Secretary Rahul Bhandari, Principal Secretary Krishan Kumar, Secretary MS Jaggi, Director Rural Development Manpreet Singh Chhatwal and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
