Chandigarh – The Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann writes letter to Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee President to give permission to the government to broadcast “Gurbani” by establishing modern mediums and technology at Darbar Sahib so that the message of ‘Holy Gurbani’ can be spread at the mass level all over the world.
The letter reads –
“In this letter, I, the Chief Minister of Punjab, earnestly request the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), the foremost body of Sikhs, to direct the Punjab Government to promote and spread ‘Sarb Sanjhi Gurbani’ worldwide. Permission should be granted to establish modern dissemination / communication techniques at Darbar Sahib, Amritsar so that the holy message of Guru Sahib Ji’s ‘Sarbat Da Bhala’ and universal communion could be conveyed to the people all over the world.
Thanks to this humble endeavor, the sangat all over the world will have the opportunity to visit Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib as well as listen to “Rasbhinni Pavitra Gurbani.” The Punjab Government is ready to bear the full cost of this service besides performing all the services assigned by the SGPC to carry out this task.
Spreading the message of Gurbani to the corners of the world is the need of the hour today and instead of restricting Gurbani Kirtan from Sachkhand Sri Darbar Sahib to a single medium, satellite TV should be used. Including other means of communication such as radio, FM, social media and mobile apps.
The Punjab Government is keen to set up a state-of-the-art infrastructure / technology at Sri Darbar Sahib. In addition to this, the government whould provide necessary equipment and technical support to other digital broadcasting media such as YouTube, mobile apps, religious channels or any other interested channels that want to broadcast Holy Gurbani using various technologies. Is ready for the universal Gurbani to be spread all over the world.
I sincerely hope that you will accept the request of this humble Sikh of Guru Ghar. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh”
