Chandigarh: Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh today held its 11th Convocation in Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Chandigarh. Governor Haryana, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya was the Chief Guest while Sh. Rajiv Kumar Gupta, IAS, Secretary, Punjab State Board of Technical Education, Chandigarh, Director Public Instructions (DPI), Colleges, Punjab; Mohammad haroun malik KAS, Special Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department, Jammu and Kashmir and Prof. (Dr.) Gurvinder Pal Singh Brar, registrar, Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Punjab Technical University, Bathinda were the Guest of Honour. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function. The students from various programs including Engineering, Law, Management, B.Ed, Agriculture, BBA, BCA etc were conferred degrees.
The convocation ceremony started with the Lamp Lighting ceremony followed by a welcome prayer. On the occasion, 130 toppers students of Aryans were awarded with the degrees & medals.
Governor, Haryana in his convocation address while congratulating the students said it’s great that Aryans students don’t run for marks but they prove themselves through innovations & they strive to become job givers instead of job seekers.
Aryans is among those Colleges which is doing a good job in the overall development of its students. He congratulated the management of Aryans which was started with just 100 students and 1 College and now is imparting quality education to over 4000 students in 8 Colleges including Engineering, Law, Management, Nursing, Pharmacy, Degree, Education, Paramedical etc.
He advised the graduates and postgraduates to register themselves at their employment exchange offices at their respective districts so that they can be contacted for the various job openings in their state as well as across the Country.
The governor also called for community-led participatory actions from the young graduates to keep up with the challenges of the changing times and also understand that an individual’s prospects are correlated with that of the community.
Thus, besides gaining skills and knowledge, it is essential to cultivate social consciousness, he asserted. “The process of learning in life does not end, but from today is the beginning of new education and achieving new goals”, said Dattatraya.
Sh. Rajeev Gupta, Secretary, PSBTE & IT said that it is not merely convocation but a new beginning for another challenging life. This is the Day of Accomplishment for students, Parents as well as teachers. More than the degrees, I am sure, the knowledge and the values you imbibed here, will guide you wherever destiny will take you.
The responsibility of building a great nation and a prosperous nation rests on the shoulders of our youth. Technical Education can meet the expanding demands of expanding society and to meet its multiplying demands. For economic development and to ensure a place for India in the community of prosperous nation’s technical education was given the due importance.
Besides this, in this age of unemployment, only technical education can assure one of a job and a comfortable living, he said. Mohd. Haroun Malik, Special Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department said that Students of today are the Founders of tomorrow’s Nation.
We need to bring down the strong boundaries that we have put on the students to help them grow in their desired field in an innovative manner. He mentioned that in the past innovations done by Aryans students greatly helped in attracting tremendous tourist influx from the world, over adding that he is quite optimistic that these brilliant minds will carry forward their services towards further enhancing the social life of people. He further appreciated the efforts of students for developing Aryans Shikara App facilitate the tourists for which the copyright has been approved by Govt. of India
Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh, Registrar, MRSPTU said that I must mention that convocations are historical moments in the life of the students & we should always stay connected to our roots and respect our mother land and mother tongue. The new education policy is employment-oriented.
Therefore, all the students should take a pledge to become job creators after completing their education, only then the country will progress,” he said while addressing the students.
Dr. Anshu Kataria while congratulating the students said that it’s a proud moment for Aryans to add these young talents for the progress of the Society. Kataria said that students should also have the right kind of attitude to grow and have success in life, they should be open to learning, be creative and think about societal problems & here in Aryans the emphasis is given on innovations”, he added.
He advised the students to become a good citizen and work day and night to earn Fame for themselves and the entire Country. Be proud of being Indians and having studied in India as we have excelled in all fields, He added,
