Chandigarh – Punjab Congress organised a protest march starting from Punjab Bhawan to Governor house protesting against the Enforcement Directorate actions on the leader of the party Rahul Gandhi and reaching out to Congress headquater in Delhi.
In Chandigarh , the protest march is led by PPCC president Amarinder Raja Warring. The leaders and congress workers were stopped by police force. Heavy deployement of para military force and police and barricading was done to stop protests who were leading towards Governor House.
The police have used the water cannons and a tussle was also seen between protestors and police force near Congress Bhawan where heavy baracading was done in Chandigarh.
It is pertinent to say that PPCC president Amrinder Raja Warring and Leader of Opposition in Vidhan Sabha Partap Singh Bajwa in a press conference held at chandigarh yesterday condemned the ED’s stormy action by entering into party’s headquater. It is to mention here that the central investigating agency Enforcement Directorate has been investigating the National Herald case. Rahul Gandhi is questioned for three days. Now , he is called on Friday as he requested for a day exemption.
