Kesari is one release we have all been looking forward to. The battle of Saragarhi has been on everyone’s wish list because everyone in the entertainment business wanted to make something out of it. Three films on the same war were announced and then there was a TV show as well. Kesari will thus be the first film to release on this topic and the poster of the same has filled us with pride. Earlier, Akshay Kumar had revealed his look from the film and now we have the whole poster. It has Akshay leading the pack of turbaned Sikhs in uniforms, ready to rip apart the opponents. The battle of Saragarhi happened on September 12, 1897, where 21 Sikhs from British India’s regiment fought against 10,000 Afghan soldiers who attacked Saragarhi. The story obviously is about valour and grandness. Akshay plays the role of Havildar Ishar Singh who along with his regiment warded off two attacks by Afghan soldiers. But the final one became their undoing. However, they bought enough time for the Britishers to get reinforcements and nail the enemies. Kesari releases on March 21, 2019.
