Canada -The daylight shooting in Surrey killing Canadian Sikh leader and businessman Ripudaman Malik has raised the questions on the safety of the people especially of Indian origin settled or living there. Police said they are investigating into the matter.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Sergeant David Lee, in a press conference, said ” We understand this is high profile international story. However, we urge not to speculate as to the motive as our homicide investigators will be following the evidence.”
Lee who has been speaking from the investigation point of view has said the killing is believed to be targeted one and team will be working on all the evidences sought from public or any other source.
Lee while speaking in a press conference said a white colour Honda car arrived at the spot before the killing where fires were shot. Police found a car in flames at the distance of around a kilometer away from the site of the incident ina street.
Police and the family members are urging to the public if anyone can provide any clue or evidence related to the incident.
Malik family runs the Papillon clothing company which is in the same building outside which Malik was killed. Family said they are still in shock and have not arranged for the funeral yet.
