The Queen was born Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor, in Mayfair, London, on 21 April 1926.
During the war time , she exchanged letters with her third cousin, Philip who was Prince of Greece and was serving in the Royal Navy. Their romance ripened and the couple married at Westminster Abbey on 20 November 1947. Now Philip was the prince taking the title of Duke of Edinburgh.
The Queen Elizabeth II would later describe his husband Phillip as her strength and stay through 74 years of marriage, before his death in 2021 at the age of 99.
Their marriage was the longest wedded knot in royal couples and it was all full and honesty and integrity for long 75 years.
