Chandigarh: Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains today said that a Diwali gift will be given to regular computer teachers working under the Pictus Society as soon as possible.
The Cabinet Minister said that currently 6640 computer teachers are rendering their services diligently in the state, whose services were regularized by the state government in 2011.
He said that some legitimate and genuine demands of computer teachers had come to his notice, on which he has written a semi-DO letter to the Finance Minister recommending to fulfill the pending demands at the earliest.
Bains said that among the main demands of computer teachers to implement CSR rules and to provide benefits of 6th Pay Commission.
He said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is committed to the welfare of the employees and this fact has been proved with regularisation the services of 8736 teachers on the occasion of Teacher’s Day.
