Chandigarh : During the ongoing session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, ‘The Punjab Rural Common Lands (Regulation) Amendment Bill 2022’ passed with thumping majority during the legislative business on Friday.
‘Punjab Rural Common Lands (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2022’ presented by Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal were passed by the House.
Notably, this amendment would bring clarity that the land kept reserved for common purposes during the consolidation titled as “Jumla Mustarka Malkan” is also “Shamlat Deh” as defined in section 2(g) of Punjab Village Common Lands (Regulation) Act 1961.
