Chandigarh (Bindu Singh) : Shiromani Akali Dal today lashed out at Bhagwant Mann government for ruining Punjab for sake of political ambitions of AAP Convener Arvind Kejriwal and it asked government to stop wasting Rs. 2 crore per day on fake advertisements and instead provide compensation to farmers who have suffered heavy losses due to rains and to dairy farmers who have lost their milch cattles due to lumpy sking disease.
In a statement released here today, Senior SAD leader said that shocking revelation has come to light in an RTI reply that AAP government is spending Rs. 2 crore a day on fake advertisements of tall claims of achievements by Punjab Governments whereas nothing has been done on the ground. He said that all this is being done to mislead people of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh where elections are due in coming months. He said that this is not only cheating with people of Punjab as public money is being wasted in these fake advertisements but also with people of two states where AAP Convener wants to win elections by hook or crook.
Majithia said that it seems that Bhagwant Mann is least cared for welfare of his own state. He said that CM claims that he will take care of every penny of Punjabis whereas in reality he is pushing Punjab towards total bankruptcy for sake of political promotion of his boss Mr. Arvind Kejriwal.
He said that concept of welfare state has been thrown to dustbin by the Bhagwant Mann government that it why it had failed to compensate farmers for crop losses, and to dairy owners who have lost their milch cattle to lumpy skin disease and farmers have also been not paid Rs 1,500 per acre incentive for direct seeding of paddy and Rs 2,500 per acre incentive for not burning stubble.
He urge CM to even now realist mission of Kejriwal and stop wasting state’s money for his whims and fancies and instead start working for people of his own state who have given him massive mandate.
