Chandigarh – The President of India Draupadi Murmu is here in city beautiful on the iccadion of 90th celebration of Indian Airforce Day.
In a function organised in the honour of the President Murmu at Punjab Raj Bhavan late evening , Governor Punjab Banwarilal Purohit questions the absence of Chief Minister Punjab in the function.
Speaking from the stage, Governor said ‘The President is here, where is CM’? . He stressed that as the President of India is the constitutional Head of the country , the protocol demands the presence of Chief Minister in functions and programmes during her visit.
The Governor raised questions on the Punjab CMs absence whereas Chief Minister Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar was present there.
Meanwhile it has been learnt that five cabinet ministers and DGP Punjab have attended the function and also received the President after she reached Chandigarh.
