Chandigarh – Bibi Jagir Kaur who was put under suspension by Shiromani Akali Dal disciplinary committee on November 2 and she was given 48 hour notice is once again given a chance by the committee.
On the other side , Bibi Jagir Kaur has announced her manifesto during a press conference held in Jallandhar. She said she is not worried now. She has already sent four point reply to the disciplinary committee raising her queries that what anti party step has she taken by moving her name as president candidate. She asked why party having objection on her name whereas she was the first woman elected president of SGPC.

But, the contest seems to be open and challenging as Bibi has come out vocal on the ‘lifafa’ culture which was presumed to be quite prevalent in selection of president during last elections of SGPC.
Bibi Jagir Kaur is four time president of SGPC and now she is standing for contest for the 5th time. The present scenario and developments indicate Bibi Jagir Kaur giving a straight challenge to Panthak chapter of Shiromani Akali Dal.
