Newsdesk – Two world war-II era aircrafts collided and crashed in a Airshow in Dallas in Taxas. A Federal Aviation aviation said in a statement.
A Boeing B-7 flying fortress and a Bell P-63 King Cobra were participating over Airforce’s Wings over Dallas Airshow when they collided midair near Dallas airport.
In an information on Event’s website, several planes were sceduled to do a flyover demonstration. On social media, hundreds of people could be seen gathered to watch the airshow.
Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson called it a ‘terrible tragedy’. Meanwhile, officials say it is unclear how many people were aboard the aircraft, as the incident is investigated.
Leah Block , a spokeswoman for Commemorative Air force the Taxas based organisation that hosted the event said there might have been as many as six people on the aircraft.
The B -17 typically carries a crew of five, she said. The P-63 is a single pilot aircraft. Both were based out of Houston, she added.
