SYDNEY/HYDERABAD, July 22, 2026 — An Indian cab driver who assisted victims during the December 2025 mass shooting at Sydney’s Bondi Beach has been granted permanent residency in Australia, according to a report by The Times of India.
Rehmat Pasha, 37, is originally from the Hyderabad region and moved to Australia in 2021. He was working as a driver near Bondi Beach on December 14 when two gunmen opened fire on people attending a Hanukkah celebration.
