Perak Sikh Education Fund Recognises 28 Students at Annual Awards Event

IPOH, Malaysia, July 29, 2026: Twenty-eight Sikh students were honoured for their academic performance during the Perak Sikhs Education Aid Fund’s annual awards programme in Ipoh.

According to information released by the organization, the recipients included one STPM student who achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.75. Fourteen students were recognized for obtaining at least seven A grades in the SPM examination, while another 13 received awards for securing an A in Punjabi in the 2025 SPM examination. One recipient reportedly earned 11 A grades.

Approximately 500 students, parents, community representatives, sponsors and supporters attended the event. The programme was organized under the leadership of fund president Dr. Sucha Singh and members of the organization’s committee.

Apart from recognizing academic excellence, the fund works to assist Sikh students experiencing financial difficulties. Its initiatives reportedly include monthly educational assistance, back-to-school support, laptop distribution and loans for post-secondary education.
