
Tissue bearing word ‘bomb’ found in lavatory; nothing suspicious found in aircraft search
An Air India Express flight travelling from Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to Delhi made an emergency diversion to Ahmedabad on August 31 after a tissue paper bearing the word “bomb” was found inside a lavatory. Police said there were 32 passengers aboard, all of whom were safely deboarded after landing. Security personnel conducted a detailed inspection of the aircraft and no suspicious object was found. The airline said the diversion was carried out as a precaution in line with established security protocols. Police were questioning passengers and assessing the circumstances surrounding the message.
