RIYADH/SANAA — Yemen’s Houthi movement claimed missile and drone attacks against a sensitive target in Riyadh and Saudi Aramco facilities in Yanbu. Saudi Arabia said its defences intercepted six ballistic missiles headed toward Taif province and the Yanbu area.
Saudi authorities had not immediately confirmed a strike on Riyadh or reported damage or casualties in the targeted regions.
Why it matters: Continued attacks on Saudi cities and energy facilities could widen the Yemen conflict and threaten global oil supplies.
