Two officials of the Indian High Commission were not allowed to enter two gurdwaras in Pakistan.

It is being told that the administration is upset that a film was shown in India which hurt the feelings of the Sikh community.

Indian officers Aranjeet Singh and Sunil Kumar were barred from entering Gurdwara Sacha Sauda on Thursday night and Gurudwara Nankana Sahib on Wednesday.

Both of the gurudwaras are in the Punjab province of Pakistan.

The gurdwara administration barred them from entering. The administration said that the Indian government had hurt the sentiments of the Sikhs by allowing permission to screen ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’.

Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) said that officials of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee disallowed Indian officials to enter the gurdwara.

The officials were heard saying in the video, “There is no one to stop the entry of any Sikh in Gurudwara. We are surprised that why are you stopping us? ”

Officials of the Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee said that it would be better to leave the premises.

ETPB Secretary Tariq Wazeer Khan told, “We wrote to the Indian High Commission saying that not to send their officials to any gurdwaras since the film was screened.”

Even in June, officials of the Pakistan Sikh Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee stopped India’s High Commissioner to Pakistan Ajay Bisaria and his wife from entering Gurudwara Panja Sahib, located at Hasan Abdal of Rawalpindi in Pakistan.
