NOVEL CORONAVIRUS (COVID 19):
Ludhiana, March 17: Commissioner of Police Mr Rakesh Kumar Agrawal, while exercising his powers under section 144 of CrPC 1973 (Act No 2 of 1974) has banned sale/use of tobacco & tobacco products at all bus stands, railway gates, crossing chowks, traffic lights etc and spitting in all public places falling under the jurisdiction of Police Commissionerate Ludhiana for a period of two months.

As per the ban orders, Mr Rakesh Kumar Agrawal stated that the use of tobacco and its products lead to damage to people’s health. He said that in view of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19), these ban orders have been issued to ensure that this disease does not spread anywhere.
