A woman member of the Afghan Parliament, Rangina Kargar, has said she was deported from India on August 20, five days after Taliban seized Kabul.

Kargar said she arrived at the Delhi airport from Istanbul and was sent back two hours later. She said, “They deported me, I was treated as a criminal…I never expected this from Gandhiji’s India.”
