Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Sooryavanshi’ will release in theatres on Diwali this year, director Rohit Shetty announced on Saturday.

The announcement came after the Maharashtra government allowed the opening of theatres from October 22. Thanking Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Rohit wrote on Instagram, “And FINALLY!!! We can say, This DIWALI…AA RAHI HAI POLICE.”
