An Australian surfer who was attacked by a great white shark in 2015 has won the right to keep the shark’s tooth that got lodged in his surfboard.

While it is illegal to possess, sell or purchase any part of white sharks, an exception was made in this case. The surfer’s leg had to be amputated after the attack.
