Manali Police started an awareness campaign for tourists amid the COVID-19 pandemic and collected ₹3 lakh fine in the last seven-eight days.

“Those not wearing masks can be punished with ₹5,000 in fine or eight days in jail,” a senior police officer said. Earlier, the Central government expressed concern about crowding in Manali saying, “Manali can wait, but virus won’t”.
