Chandigarh – Hundreds of mourners and fans of popular rap Singer Sidhu Moosewala who was murdered on May 30 bid final goodbye to their beloved artist.
The last rites of Sidhu Moosewala is performed at his native village Jawaharke in Mansa district in a heavy deployment of police force. A large number of gathering including political leaders, artists, singers and his fans attended the ceremony. His agricultural land where the cremation was performed got converted in the sea of people.
As Sidhu Moosewala was the only son of his parents, his father lite the funeral pyre.The scene was very saddening at village Moosa. His mother tied his hair for the time and his father tied turban for his final journey of life. It is to mention here Moosewala was engaged in a village of Sangrur and his wedding was fixed in coming month.
Rapper turned politician was surrounded by controversies related to his songs and lyrics. But, despite of this, he was very popular figure among the youth. He was a congress candidate from Mansa in Assembly Elections 2022. He lost the seat to Aam Aadmi Party candidate Dr. Vijay Singla.
Punjab Congress president Amarinder Raja Warring, Sukhjinder Randhawa, Sandeep Sandhu , Kulbir Zira and many others were present in the ceremony.
Father of Sidhu Moosewala, Balkaur Singh had written a letter to CM Punjab for fair and free investigation of the murder by sitting Judge of the High Court.
During Moosewala’s last ride on his own tractor, it was a moving moment when his father Balkaur Singh took of his turban from his head in the crowd as if he was pleading for his son who is no more now.
