Billionaire Nirav Modi was accused in the USD 2 in billion Punjab National bank fraud case, in February 2018.

An Interpol red notice was also issued as the Indian authorities are taking every step possible to take down Nirav’s empire.

It took a few seconds with the help of detonators to bring down the 30,000 sq ft (100 crore property) seaside mansion of fugitive diamantaire Nirav Modi, at Kihim beach in Maharashtra.

Hunted by Indian investigators for over a year, fugitive Nirav Modi was seen walking on streets of London by a reporter of a UK-based newspaper, The Telegraph.

Later a two-minute clip was released by the British newspaper with a caption,” Exclusive: Telegraph journalists tracked down Nirav Modi, the billionaire diamond tycoon who is a suspect for the biggest banking fraud in India’s.”

In the video, it seems like Modi is been doing well in London, as he can be seen dressed in a jacket made from “Ostrich hide” which costs £ 10,000″ (over Rs 9 lakh).

As reported, he is living in a luxury flat near Oxford Street and is now involved in a new diamond business, just a few hundred yards from his swanky apartment.

Nirav Modi said, “Sorry, no comment”, when the reporter asked whether he had applied for political asylum

Not just this but when the reporter says: “You owe a lot of people a lot of money, Modi, a lot of people who would very much like to know where you are,” he again replied “No comment.”

After this video went viral, the Congress attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party government over its “failure” to bring back the fugitive billionaire Nirav Modi.

The Congress tweeted, “Journalists of The Telegraph managed to track down Nirav Modi. Why was the Modi Govt unable to do so? Who is Modi trying to protect? Himself, Nirav Modi or the people who let him escape?”
