Amritsar/Talwandi Sabo: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami on Tuesday demanded from the Government of India to immediately release the Sikh prisoners lodged in different jails for the last three decades on the occasion of Khalsa Sajna Diwas (Vaisakhi) and fully implement its announcement to release the Sikh political prisoners.

“I demand from the Centre government to fully implement its announcement made on the occasion of the 550th Parkash Gurpurb (birth anniversary) of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, to release Sikh prisoners including Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana, Prof Devinderpal Singh Bhullar, Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara and many other Sikhs who are lodged in different jails for over three decades.

“If Kejriwal had been a Sikh supporter, he would have taken a positive decision on the release of Prof Devinderpal Singh”, said Advocate Dhami. “While the perpetrators of 1984 Sikh genocide Kishori Lal was granted parole by the Delhi government”, said Advocate Dhami.
