Sh. Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa, Chief Executive Officer opened the exhibition in which energy efficient building materials such as Insulation, AAC Blocks, HVAC, Glass, Lighting, Solar PV & Hot Water, Electrical Systems & Automation were displayed by various manufacturers / vendors. More than 50 vendors participated from all over India and displayed their energy efficient building materials. While inaugurating the workshop Sh. Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa requested to adopt clean and green energy and at the same time energy saving through energy efficient materials / appliances. He categorized that 30-40% energy saving can be achieved by implementing Punjab ECBC in new buildings and 10-15% energy can be saved by implementing energy conservation measures in existing building. By using renewable energy systems along with energy efficiency considerable power can be saved which will offset the new capacity addition thereby decreasing GHG emission resulting to save the environment.
