A 32-year-old Indian origin dentist in Sydney who went missing was found stabbed to death.
As her father Narasimha Reddy, migrated to Australia several years ago, dentist Preethi Reddy worked at Glenbrook Dental Surgery in the Blue Mountains.
After attending a convention Preethi failed to return home and was reported missing.
Preethi’s sister Nithya Reddy even started a Facebook page “Help Find Preethi Reddy”.
Their relatives in Hyderabad, the US and Australia took to the social media to put out messages asking people to track Preethi.
According to the police investigations, Preethi was last seen in CCTV footage at a McDonald’s outlet at Strand Arcade in central Sydney and appeared to leave alone.
Later, Preethi’s body was found in a suitcase in the boot of her car and the body had multiple stab wounds.
The investigation revealed that Reddy stayed at a hotel in Sydney on Sunday with a man identified as Harshwardhan Narde, who is believed to be her fellow dentist and former boyfriend.
Police had spoken to Narde as part of their investigation.
After the investigation, Narde died on the New England Highway at Willow Tree, some 340 km from where Preethi’s body was found, at about 10pm on Monday after ramming his BMW into a semi-trailer.
Police said “Investigators believe the collision was deliberate by Narde.”
